Module 02: The Reimagined Lifecycle: Intent, Plan, Verify, Deploy

A clear, step-by-step breakdown of the modern agentic development cycle. How engineers move from business idea to production software in four disciplined phases.

Autonomous AI doesn't mean "uncontrolled chaos." If you type random prompts into an LLM and paste code into production, you will create an unmaintainable disaster. Speed requires a disciplined, modern operating model. Here is the 4-phase Reimagined Lifecycle.

The Four-Step Law

Never write code before you align on the plan. Never deploy code before you verify in a sandbox. The speed comes from automating the execution, not from skipping the thinking.

Phase 1: Intent Framing (The "Why")

Instead of drafting a 10-page spec, you define the core problem and user outcome in 3 to 5 clear sentences. You establish the boundaries: What does this feature do? What does it explicitly NOT do? What are the security and performance requirements?

Phase 2: Architectural Plan & Audit (The "How")

Before modifying any production file, Antigravity generates an Implementation Plan Artifact. This plan details:

  • The exact files to create, modify, or delete.
  • The schema changes and API contracts.
  • Potential edge cases and security risks.
  • The verification strategy.

As the architect, your job in Phase 2 is to review the plan, challenge lazy assumptions, and hit "Approve" only when the architecture is solid.

Phase 3: Autonomous Construction & Verification (The "Build")

Once approved, Antigravity executes the plan: creating modular files (<300 lines), implementing clean functions, and immediately testing them. It doesn't ask you to test things manually; it writes temporary scratch scripts, curls endpoints, and verifies output codes in real time.

Phase 4: Instant Deterministic Release (The "Ship")

With verification confirmed, Antigravity generates conventional commit messages (e.g. feat(auth): add OAuth2 refresh token rotation) and triggers production deployment via cloud bridges (such as Google Cloud Run or Hostinger MCP) in seconds.

Comparison: Old SDLC vs. Reimagined SDLC

Dimension Traditional Agile SDLC Antigravity Reimagined SDLC
Cadence Fixed 2-week sprints Continuous hourly releases
Bottleneck Writing syntax & PR queues Clarity of requirement intent
Role of Engineer Typist & ticket implementer System architect & plan validator
Testing Post-development QA handoff Automated inline verification loops
