For years, running a content or tech site meant living in three disconnected places:
- Writing thoughts in Notion, Obsidian, or local markdown files.
- Logging into a CMS dashboard (like WordPress or Ghost) to copy-paste, fix formatting, set meta tags, and fiddle with plugins.
- Opening an FTP client, cPanel, or Git terminal whenever you wanted to change a CSS style, fix a broken link, or deploy code.
Every small edit required context-switching, password logins, and "maintenance anxiety"—hoping an update didn’t bring the database down.
The Architecture: Markdown + Antigravity Agents + Hostinger MCP
Instead of babysitting a heavy CMS, I restructured my entire digital presence (jpjee.com) around a three-part agentic loop:
1.
Markdown & Flat Files as the Source of Truth
Articles and notes live as clean .md and JSON files. There is no active SQL database to corrupt, no server-side login page to brute-force, and no plugin conflicts. The content is pure text that I own forever in Git.
Antigravity as the Central Control Plane
1. I don't open admin dashboards or visual builders. I talk directly to Google Antigravity. Whether I want to draft a new technical piece, adjust typography, fix an anchor bug in the table of contents, or create an interactive comparison grid, I simply state the intent in plain English. The agent inspects the code, applies the changes, and verifies the syntax.
Hostinger MCP as the Instant Deployment Bridge
Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Antigravity connects directly to Hostinger's hosting environment. The agent doesn't just write code locally; it calls the Hostinger deployment tools, checks build integrity, and pushes live updates in seconds.
The Real Value: What Changes Day-to-Day?
- Zero Dashboard Fatigue: I write an essay, tell the agent to format and feature it, and it's published. No Gutenberg blocks, no plugin popups.
- Instant UI Evolution: If I want to change a layout from a grid to a magazine feed, I don't go hunting for a new theme. The agent modifies the responsive CSS and PHP templates directly.
- Built-in Resilience: Static and flat-file assets hosted on modern edge hosting don't crash. If a change ever needs to be reverted, Git provides an instant, immutable undo button.
- Speed to Publish: The barrier between having an idea and having a live, SEO-indexed URL drops from hours to minutes.
The Takeaway
Web development shouldn’t feel like babysitting infrastructure. By pairing markdown with an agentic IDE and an MCP hosting bridge, the website stops being a maintenance chore and becomes what it was always supposed to be: a direct extension of your thoughts.
